Dog Obedience Classes offered
Your new dog will be a member of your family for many
years to come. Whether your dog is a young puppy or an
older dog, the best thing you can do right now is to start
obedience training. The Highlands County Humane Society
offers free obedience classes to anyone who adopts a dog.
A little time spent now will pay off since training will
make your dog a pleasure to spend time with.

$45.00 for lifetime of classes.
The first step in training is to get your new dog to look at you
when you call his name. Always use praise and rewards if your dog
looks or comes to you. DO NOT use the dog's name if you are scolding
him. If hearing his name becomes associated with a negative experience,
you will never have the joy of seeing your dog happily running to
you with pleasure and excitement!
